JD7 have recently finished a project for EYDAP Water in Athens Greece. 15km of transmission mains were surveyed in the city centre which proved challenging due to the busy city and narrow streets.
The surveys were possible due to the portable JD7 LDS1000 system that is battery driven and can conduct several Km of survey on a single charge – another benefit was the silent running of the technology enabling work to be conducted in the early hours.
The LDS1000 with its high quality camera and acoustics found several leaks all of which were excavated and confirmed on the day where the location was very accurately confirmed by the powerful sonde located in the camera & acoustic head ensuring minimal excavation size.
